Dr. Wu

Dr. Wu is a double Board-Certified dermatologist in both Canada and the USA with specialty training in Cosmetic Dermatology and Laser Surgery via the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery (ASDS) Fellowship program. He has authored over a hundred medical articles and textbook chapters in both general and aesthetic dermatology, and his work has been cited by other experts in the field over 2000 times. He was in the Top 15 most published doctors in Dermatologic Surgery, the official journal of the ASDS, and holds a position as Editorial Board Member for Lasers in Surgery and Medicine, the official journal of the American Society for Lasers in Surgery and Medicine (ASLMS). Because of his expertise in the field, Dr. Wu is often invited to lecture at national and international conferences such as the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD), the Pigmentary Disorders Exchange Symposium, the 5 Continents Conference in Aesthetic Medicine, and the World Congress of Dermatology.

After graduating from the University of Toronto with a BSc in Human Biology, Dr. Wu pursued a medical degree at the University of Alberta. Partway through his medical education, he received a full scholarship to attend the University of Oxford, England. While at Oxford, Dr. Wu completed a PhD in Immunology at the Nuffield Department of Surgery before returning to Canada to finish his dermatology residency. He was granted Permanent Residency status in the US based on an assessment of “Extraordinary Ability.”
Dr. Wu currently maintains a practice in both San Diego, California, and Vancouver, Canada, where he takes care of his patients; educates and trains the next generation of resident and fellow dermatologists; leads clinical research trials; and collaborates with industry partners as an advisor and consultant on future products and technologies.
